Discover the breathtaking beauty of the Colca Canyon on a 1-day tour, returning to Arequipa or Puno. Experience unique landscapes, meet Andean communities and enjoy the flight of the majestic condor.
Your adventure begins with a departure from Arequipa to Chivay, where you will enjoy a delicious local breakfast. Afterwards, we will head to the Mirador de la Cruz del Condor, located just 30 minutes away, the ideal spot to admire the majestic flight of the condor and the impressive Colca Canyon. Here we will spend about 45 minutes, with the option of a 30-minute hike to appreciate more of the terraces of the Colca Valley. Afterwards, we will explore several viewpoints in the area, where you will enjoy panoramic views and head to the picturesque village of Maca, where you can visit its church and, if you wish, taste local drinks such as the Colca Sour, made with products from the region.

Before lunch, we will relax at the Yanque Hot Springs, whose thermal waters, with temperatures between 30°C and 34°C, will give you a unique experience. Afterwards, you will enjoy a typical lunch in Chivay to replenish your energy. On the way back, we will stop at the Mirador de los Volcanes, the highest point of the tour at 4900 meters above sea level, from where you will be able to appreciate the imposing western mountain range.

On the way, we will also make a brief stop at the Bofedales de Toccra Pampa, an ideal place to observe alpacas grazing freely. Further on, we will border the snow-capped Chachani and pass through the Salinas y Aguada Blanca National Reserve, home to vicuñas in their natural habitat.

At the end of the tour, you can choose between two return options: to Arequipa (6 pm) or continue to Puno (8 pm), at your convenience.
