Day 1
On the first day of this excursion, we will pick you up from your hotel in Iquitos at 9:30 am. From there we will take you to the port of Bellavista, where we will board a boat with which we will begin this adventure along the Amazon River.
We will enjoy the journey until we reach what will be our accommodation for the next few days. There we will offer you a delicious lunch and let you rest until the afternoon.
At the agreed time, we will meet again to take a walk through the jungle until we reach one of the settlements of the indigenous communities in the area. Here we will learn about their culture and lifestyle and how they have learned to survive in the jungle. Afterwards, we will return to the accommodation to have dinner and rest until the next day.
Day 2
We will start the day with a delicious breakfast and, later, we will board a boat that will take us to the Neyser Island Serpentarium. In this place we will learn about the native fauna of the Amazon and see anacondas and other animals such as monkeys, sloths or toucans.
On the return journey we will try to spot the curious pink dolphins and, if you wish, you can also bathe in the therapeutic mud of the river. Next, we will enjoy lunch and, after a brief rest, we will head to the town of San Rafael. Here we will learn how to use some of the area's plants for medicinal purposes and help in the extraction of some of their juices.
Finally, we will return to the accommodation to enjoy a dinner accompanied by stories and legends of the Amazon.
Day 3
On the last day, if you wish, you can participate in a walk that will begin at 4:30 am to see the sunrise in the jungle. A highly recommended experience!
After breakfast, we will gather the entire group again and take a last boat ride along the Amazon River until we reach one of the indigenous settlements: the community of Sinchicuy. We will discover their dances and crafts and we can even learn to fish with artisanal rods.
After this last activity, we will return to the accommodation to have lunch and return to your hotel in Iquitos, where we will arrive at approximately 4:00 p.m.
