Visit the municipal market in Porto and learn how to prepare a traditional Portuguese meal during this workshop. Work with a chef or just watch, and enjoy the meal over good conversation and drinks.
Visit the most authentic municipal market in the city, where the guide will introduce it to the influence of Portuguese products worldwide while experiencing the traditional environment of one of the most important buildings for the city's population.
On a 5 minute metro trip, passing the upper level of the iconic "Luis I" bridge we we will reach "Jardim do Morro ", with one of the best views about the city of Porto. From there it is less than 5 minutes walk to our kitchen space.
Then you will learn how to cook the Portuguese traditional meal. We encourage our guests to help/learn, but if you just want to watch, enjoy the meal and the conversation it's perfectly fine.
Food you will have during the tour: - Olives, lupines, grilled sausages, Alheira with marmalade mayonnaise, Cod dish, Pastel de Nata.
Drinks included: - Water and juices, local wine, espresso.
Portuguese food (provided during the tour) is not suitable for vegetarians and lactose intolerant.
The tour starts at the time scheduled, with no exceptions.

This tour will take place rain or shine
We will visit the market and then walk from there to the metro station (5 minutes ride) and then to our kitchen. All guests must be fit to visit the market and the short distances after. Besides it´s mainly an indoor activity, clothing must be appropriate for the weather forecast.
Children and teenagers will have limited participation. For safety reasons, the guide will not allow children to participate in certain stages, even if their guardians claim that they are capable of doing so.
