From Puerto Plata: Horseback ride along the mountain river

Experience an adventure in the lap of exotic nature - a horseback ride along a mountain river. Though the tour is doable for everyone, you'll feel like a cowboy and conquer sites off the beaten track!
Experience the Dominican countryside on a horseback riding adventure. Ride through country roads, pastures, mountains, and swim in a river. Enjoy a sip of mamajuana to celebrate the end of your ride.

For the tour we pick up clients from Puerto Plata, Sosua, Cabarete and surrounding areas. You can give us any pickup address in the area :)

We'll drive to a rancho in the countryside where we'll have coffee and get instructions for the ride.

The important thing to remember is that the activity is designed for both experienced riders and people who have never sat on a horse in their life ;).

Just remember to bring comfortable clothes (like a T-shirt and shorts or leggings) and shoes that won't fall off your feet (sneakers, water shoes, or trekking sandals). A handy bag or backpack for water, camera or phone is also useful. This equipment is enough to become a Dominican cowboy :)

The route of our ride will take us through country roads, pastures and finally into the gentle mountains where we will reach the river. From this point we will follow the riverbed and cross it several times, which is very picturesque and fun. Both horse and rider will have fun as we ride into the water! We will also stop to rest and swim in the river :)

Our rides usually last between 2.5 and 3.5 hours. After returning to the rancho, we will celebrate the happy completion of the ride with a sip of mamajuana :)

As an option, you can opt for an extended tour - a 4 hour ride with lunch included.
