The Big Bakes invites you to roll up your sleeves and dive into the UK's No.1 baking experience! Join us in our iconic tent for some quintessentially British baking - creating a Classic Victoria Sponge!
- Begin with a welcome drink and an introduction to the history, and the tips and techniques behind creating the perfect Victoria Sponge Cake
- Then, get hands-on as you create your own perfectly light and fluffy sponge, prepare a delicious jam & cream filling, and decorate your masterpiece
- After baking, enjoy your delightful creations with tea
This fun, immersive baking experience is perfect for visitors to Manchester, a day out with friends, date days, or a unique family activity to be enjoyed by adults and kids alike.
No experience needed, and all equipment and ingredients are provided - Just bring your enthusiasm

Bringing Children? This class is suitable for adults and kids alike, if you are bringing young bakers please refer to our child policy and Young Baker Safety Guide (tinyurl.com/TBBchildren)
Children aged 5 and under can attend for free when baking in a team of three, alongside two full-price ticket holders
Please wear comfortable clothes that are suitable for baking and tie long hair up in a bun
We can provide a chair at your baking station if you need to sit down during baking, please contact us in advance
Guests fitted with a pacemaker should avoid close contact with Induction Hobs such as leaning over them and follow the medical guidance given at the time of their pacemaker being fitted
