Your final stop is Prejmer — a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the largest fortified church in southeastern Europe. Built starting in 1211, Prejmer's defensive walls hide 272 storage rooms where Saxon families took refuge during sieges. Walk the elevated wooden galleries, hear stories of medieval ingenuity, and experience the cathedral-like acoustics of the inner courtyard.
