Discover Basel by bike - up close, lively and full of surprises! From historic landmarks to hidden corners, experience the city on the bend of the Rhine from a new perspective.
Start the guided bike tour at the historic St. John's Gate. From there, the route leads to the Dreirosenbrücke, which offers a magnificent view over the city on the Rhine - and even as far as Germany and France. A perfect moment to enjoy Basel's unique location!
Continue to the Kleinbasel side, where you cycle upstream along the Rhine. On this route, you will learn exciting facts about Basel and discover both well-known landmarks and hidden corners. There are always wonderful opportunities to take unforgettable photos along the way.

You cross the river again at the Rhine power station and return to Grossbasel. From there, your route takes you through the upmarket St. Alban district to Basel Minster. With over 1000 years of history, the cathedral is a true architectural gem. In front of the majestic cathedral, you will learn more about its architectural history - accompanied by a refreshing drink and delicious "Leckerli", a traditional Basel specialty.

After refreshments, the next stage takes you along Basel's shopping mile to the market square in the heart of the city. The magnificent town hall, with its red sandstone façade and ornate decorations, immediately catches the eye.

From the market square, you return to the riverside and cycle along the Rhine one last time. Your tour ends at St. Johanns-Tor, the starting point - a perfect way to finish off, to feel the fresh Rhine breeze once again and take in the unique flair of the city.

The tour covers around 10 kilometers and takes 2.5 hours. The route is largely flat and easy to master - ideal for anyone who wants to discover Basel in an active yet relaxed way.

Opposite the St. Johanns-Tor streetcar stop at the entrance to the park. Your guide will be wearing a white T-shirt with the Basel Bike Adventures logo. You can easily reach the meeting point by taking streetcar line 11 in the direction of Saint-Louis Grenze. Get on at Basel SBB station, Barfüsserplatz or Marktplatz and get off at the St. Johanns-Tor stop.
