[Pohang Homigot]
Our first stop is Pohang Homigot. Pohang, the city of steel and light, is usually well-known for its steel, electric vehicle battery materials industry, home to the headquarters and large production facilities of POSCO, one of the world's largest steelmakers. But a lot of people don't know that Pohang also has a rich cultural heritage.

Homigot, which means "Tiger's Tail", is the easternmost point of the Korean Peninsula, where you can see the earliest sunrise of Korea. Homigot Sunrise Plaza was built to commemorate this by holding the National Sunrise Festival every year. There are two, large hand sculptures in this plaza, called “Sangsaeng’s Hand”. “Sangsaeng”, meaning “Coexistence” in Korean, and by putting the left hand on the land while putting the right one in the ocean, the sculptures are giving the message that all people are living together by helping one another, a true meaning of harmonious living.

[Pohang Hwanho Park Space Walk]
Space Walk in Hwanho Park, Pohang is the largest experiential sculpture in Korea made of iron with a track length of 333m and 717 steps. After going up the iron stairs, you can look down on the beautiful Pohang skylines, while also enjoying the thrill and excitement of standing there.

[Pohang Jukdo Market]
Pohang Jukdo Market, one of the largest traditional markets in Gyeongsangbuk Province which was formed nearly 50 years ago, is well-known for its fresh seafood stores. Visitors can buy themselves some raw-fish, then bring it to the nearest restaurant for them to cook your meal for you on the spot, only after paying a table setting fee.

[Ulsan Daewangam Park]
Daewangam Park is located at the end of the southeasternmost point facing the East Sea, and has a lighthouse that serves as a marker for fishermen and sailors out on the sea. This park is also home to Daewangam Rock that looks like a dragon rising up into the sky. It is connected to the mainland with an iron bridge, that is the first suspension bridge of Ulsan, and the longest one in Korea without intermediate support.

[Ulsan Taehwagang National Garden]
Taehwagang National Garden, which was recognized as Korea's second national garden in 2019, is over twice the size of Yeouido Park in Seoul, and consists of natural water and a lush bamboo forest, known as Simnidae Forest, along with canola and forage barley fields.

This was also the filming location of a Korean Drama, “Death’s Game”. This is the place that Yee-jae, reborn as his mother, visited to remember his mother. There are six thematic gardens along the Taehwagang River, all beautiful in their own unique ways. The view created a strong contrast with Yee-jae’s sad expression, creating a memorably tragic scene.
