Begin your day trip with a visit to Baiona, a picturesque, historic coastal town near Vigo. Explore the medieval center and visit the nearby Fort of Monterreal. Between the fortress and the town, visit a replica of Columbus's vessel, known as the Floating Museum.
Next, head to Santiago de Compostela, the site of the shrine dedicated to St. James, one of the apostles of Jesus Christ and a destination for thousands of pilgrims.
