You will be picked up from the Hotel at 5am (Bring your packed Breakfast from the Hotel if needed) and drive to "Rathnapura" also know as "City of Gems" in Sri lanka. About 2 hour drive scenic drive to Rathnapura. First stops is neighboring town of "Nivithigala" A famous local gem market for rough gemstones like Sapphires, Spinels, Garnet, Tourmaline and other gemstones, Start around 7am and finish by 10.30am. You will be experiencing looking various gemstones from local sellers and even you can bargain and purchase some with help of our host.

After spending couple of hours at the market, you will be visiting to another gem market in "Rathnapura" about 30 minutes drive. A famous local gem market for cut and polished gemstones.
Thereafter we heading to a local Gem mining place, where you can see the process of mining and how they extract gem deposit gravels from deep down the earth.
After that we heading back to your hotel and en-route stops for lunch in a river front restaurant to enjoy authentic Sri Lankan Lunch.
