Upon your arrival at the Colombo Cruise Port, your guide will greet you and assist with your luggage. Depending on your ship’s docking time, pick-up will occur between 2:00 PM and 8:00 PM. Once you’re comfortable, begin the journey to Sigiriya, a charming town known for its rich history and cultural sites. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the scenic drive through Sri Lanka's lush landscapes as you head to your hotel in Sigiriya for an overnight stay.
Early the next morning, start your day with an exhilarating climb up Sigiriya’s Lion Rock. As you ascend, witness the striking views of the surrounding jungle and rocky terrain. At the summit, experience the breathtaking beauty of sunrise over Sigiriya, a truly unforgettable sight. Following the descent, have breakfast at your hotel or a local restaurant to refuel and relax.
After breakfast, visit either Minneriya National Park or Hurulu Eco Park. These parks are home to Sri Lanka’s largest elephant herds, and you may spot various other wildlife species while exploring these natural habitats. It’s a fantastic opportunity to observe elephants in their natural environment.
On your return journey to Colombo, stop by the historic Dambulla Cave Temple, where you can admire ancient Buddhist art and statues within the caves. Afterward, continue the drive back, ensuring you reach the Colombo Cruise Port in time for your departure.
