Day 1
From Bambarella, start your trek with a 7-kilometer ascent to the first of the Knuckles Five Peaks. Along the way, enjoy panoramic views, visit Knuckles waterfall, and immerse yourself in the untouched beauty of this remarkable mountain range. Enjoy a village-style parceled lunch at a picturesque spot en route.

After exploring all five peaks, continue along a 6-kilometer trail to the historic Ash Cave, known for its role as a refuge for ancient Sri Lankan kings during times of foreign invasion. As night falls, set up camp at the Ash Cave and relax under a canopy of stars, surrounded by serene wilderness.

Day 2
After packing up the campsite, begin your second day with a hike to the spectacular Kotaganga waterfall chain. This 4-kilometer trail leads to seven majestic waterfalls, each offering unique and breathtaking viewpoints that showcase the natural beauty of the region.

Continue your trek to Kotaganga Estate and then to the refreshing Natural Pool, where you can enjoy a revitalizing swim. Near the pool, a local shop offers authentic village-style food, providing a genuine taste of Sri Lankan culinary traditions. After a fulfilling day of exploration, conclude your journey with a scenic return to Kandy.
