Discover the scenic hill country cities of Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, and Ella and visit the largest botanical garden in Sri Lanka, the tea country landscapes of Nuwara Eliya, and the scenic country side of Ella on a 3-day tour from Colombo. Learn about Sri Lankan culinary and medicinal herbs, visit the Temple of the Tooth Relic, visit Nine Arch bridge, Mini-Adams Peak, and see a traditional Sri Lankan cultural show.
Day 1: Colombo-Kegalle-Kandy
Depart from Colombo after breakfast and visit a spice garden on route to Kandy. Take a guided walking tour of the spice and herbal garden and learn about Sri Lankan culinary and medicinal herbs. Gain insight into Sri Lanka's spice export industry.
Arrive in Kandy, Sri Lanka's last ancient kingdom, and visit Peradeniya Botanical Gardens. Explore 60 hectares of diverse flora and see over 8,000 species of trees and plants. Tour the sacred Temple of the Tooth Relic.
In the evening, see a traditional Sri Lankan cultural show featuring drum dancing, traditional music, and a fire walking performance. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay in Kandy.
Day 2: Kandy – Nuwara Eliya – Ella
After breakfast, take the winding road to the hill country resort of Nuwara Eliya. En route, stop at waterfalls, tea gardens, and tea factories. In the afternoon, Nuwara Eliya sightseeing tour. Later, take a scenic drive to Ella through mountain valleys, forest patches, tea plantations, and cascading waterfalls.
Day 3: Ella-Colombo
After the breakfast sunrise hike at Mini-Admas Peak and later visit Nine-Arch Bridge. Later, head to your accommodation in Colombo.
