This immersive, hands-on adventure puts you at the center of the action as you bait, set, and retrieve your own labeled crab pots in the waters surrounding Juneau, Alaska.

After a short safety briefing, each guest will personalize their buoy and help prepare their crab pot. Guests will throw their pots and watch as they disappear beneath the surface to begin soaking on the seafloor. This can be a truly hands-on experience. Alaska Fish and Game regulations require guests to set, deploy, and retrieve their own gear, while our captain provides instruction, guidance, and support throughout the adventure. While the pots are soaking, enjoy a scenic cruise through Alaska's spectacular coastal waters. Keep an eye out for waterfalls, bald eagles, seals, and other wildlife, while taking in breathtaking views of lush mountains and remote shorelines.

The anticipation builds as it's finally time to see what's inside your pot. One by one, guests will step to the rail and use the pot puller or a handline to retrieve their own crab pot from the seafloor.You never know what you'll bring up—Dungeness crab, curious sea creatures like starfish or sea urchin, or perhaps an empty pot reminding us that nature always has the final say.

This tour can be as hands-on or as laid-back as you'd like. If guests want to handle crab, they will need a one-day Fish and Game sport fishing license. License cost is not included in tour price. Optional catch processing and shipping for an additional fee.
