Discover the Oregon Coast at its very best. This is the only day tour from Portland that goes all the way to Depoe Bay, the Whale Watching Capital of Oregon, in addition to Cannon Beach, Haystack Rock, Ecola State Park, Oswald West, Neahkahnie Viewpoint, and Tillamook Creamery.
Your day begins with a drive through the Coast Range into Cannon Beach, where you’ll enjoy a coffee break before strolling to world-famous Haystack Rock. At Ecola State Park, stand where William Clark once explored, with sweeping ocean views straight from The Goonies. Continue along Highway 101 to the rainforest trails of Oswald West State Park and the breathtaking Neahkahnie Overlook, one of Oregon’s top whale-spotting locations.
Lunch is at the iconic Tillamook Creamery, where you’ll sample Oregon-made cheese, enjoy a meal, and watch ice cream made before your eyes. From there, the journey continues south to Depoe Bay, home to resident gray whales, dramatic harbor views, and the Oregon Parks Whale Watching Center.
Throughout the day, your guide brings the coast to life with stories of shipwrecks, buried treasure, migrating whales, Roosevelt elk, puffins, sea lions, and the pioneers who carved their lives into this rugged landscape. It’s a perfect balance of beaches, forests, small towns, and unforgettable wildlife.
