Gothenburg: Overnight Sailing Trip to Vinga Island

Sail from Gothenburg to the famous Vinga Island on an overnight trip by sailing-yacht. Enjoy a West Coast dinner, explore the island, and spend the night on board.
We start the trip by meeting at Stenpiren in central Gothenburg where you will be welcomed aboard April, a 45-foot steel sailing yacht. After a short introduction and safety briefing, get settled on board and prepare for departure.

Leave Gothenburg and sail west through the beautiful Gothenburg archipelago towards Vinga. Depending on the weather and wind conditions, the exact route and sailing time may vary. Along the way, enjoy coffee, other hot drinks, and swedish fika served on board. Sit back, take in the scenery, and enjoy the experience of being out at sea.

Arrive at Vinga, one of the most iconic islands in the Gothenburg archipelago, and moor in the harbor. Once settled, have time to explore the island at your own pace. Take a walk around Vinga, visit the famous lighthouse, and enjoy the rocky landscape and spectacular views over ocean If the weather is right, this is also a perfect opportunity to watch the sunset from the island.

In the evening, gather back on April for a generous West Coast buffet dinner. The menu is based on local Swedish west coast specialties and seasonal ingredients, with the exact selection depending on what is in season. Enjoy dinner together on board while taking in the evening atmosphere of Vinga and the surrounding sea.

For an additional fee, choose to have a wood-fired hot tub brought aboard and set up for the evening. Relax in the warm water while surrounded by the sea and the evening scenery of Vinga, a particularly memorable experience.

After dinner, relax with a swim, enjoy the evening on the island, or simply unwind aboard April. Spend the night sleeping aboard the sailing yacht in Vinga harbor. Bed linen is provided, and the boat will be prepared with everything you need for a comfortable night on board.

Next day, start the morning with a relaxed breakfast on board. Enjoy your coffee and breakfast while waking up surrounded by the sea. After breakfast, we cast off and begin the journey back towards Gothenburg. Depending on the weather, we might take a slightly different route back, giving you another opportunity to experience the archipelago from the water. A cold lunch will be served on board during the journey.

Arrive back at Stenpiren in central Gothenburg, where the experience comes to an end.
