Begin your cultural journey with a morning pickup from your hotel in Moshi. Travel west across the savannah to Olpopongi Maasai Village, Tanzania’s first authentic Maasai boma and museum.
On arrival, be welcomed by your English-speaking Maasai guide, who will introduce you to the traditions and daily life of the Maasai community. Your visit directly supports local families through employment, education, and community projects.
Explore the village and museum to learn about Maasai history, customs, and crafts. Discover the significance of traditional jewelry, handmade by Maasai women, and see how the community preserves its heritage.
Next, join a short guided walking safari to experience Maasai hunting techniques, identify local plants, and hear about natural medicines used for generations. The program is hosted by the community and may vary according to local activities and conditions, offering an authentic and immersive experience.
