1. Day 1: Machame Gate to Machame Camp
• Elevation: 1,800m to 2,835m (5,905ft to 9,301ft)
• Distance: 11 km / 7 miles
• Hiking Time: 5-7 hours

• Description: The trek begins at Machame Gate, winding through lush rainforest. Expect to see dense vegetation, streams, and possibly some wildlife.

2. Day 2: Machame Camp to Shira Camp
• Elevation: 2,835m to 3,750m (9,301ft to 12,303ft)
• Distance: 5 km / 3 miles
• Hiking Time: 4-6 hours
• Habitat: Moorland
• Description: The path continues through rainforest before transitioning to moorland. The trail gets steeper but offers panoramic views of the Shira Plateau.
