9 Days Serengeti Highlights of Tanzania Safari Tour

Embark on a 9-day safari adventure through Tanzania's national parks. Explore the Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, and Lake Manyara, and see a variety of wildlife including elephants, lions & flamingos.
Day 1 - Arusha - Arrival
You will be met at the airport with a driver. Then transfer to your hotel to enjoy your first taste of African hospitality. After a good night's rest, you will be ready for the start of your safari tomorrow.

Day 2 - Arusha National Park
Enjoy your first morning in Africa with breakfast. Be picked up from your hotel in Arusha and taken to the Arusha National Park. The park has an incredible variety of fauna and flora, which cannot fail to impress. Your day trip will include a visit to the Ngurdo Crater. Buffaloes, waterbucks, giraffes, warthogs, zebras, and baboons can be seen all year round as well as many different bird species. Return back to the hotel.

Day 3 - Arusha - Lake Manyara National Park
After breakfast, be met by a tour guide/driver then proceed to Lake Manyara National Park for a game drive. Upon your arrival, be welcomed by fun makers’ baboons at the entrance of Manyara in large groups. The park’s varied habitat attracts a wide variety of animals, including one of Africa’s densely populated herds of African elephants, famous tree-climbing lions, as well as large flocks of flamingos, attracted by the algae in the lake. Dinner and Overnight at Jambo campsite or similar.

Day 4 - Lake Manyara - Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, leave for Tarangire National Park, famous for its huge herds of elephants and baobab trees. Throughout the dry season, thirsty antelope and elephants trek hundreds of kilometers to drink at the Tarangire River. Dinner and Overnight at Zion camp or similar.

Day 5 - Tarangire - Ngorongoro Crater
Depart Tarangire with picnic lunches for the Ngorongoro Crater. Later, descend (670M) into the floors of the crater in 4-wheel cruisers. It shall be a full day of unsurpassed game viewing with only a lunch break at Ngoitoktok springs picnic site. Game volume and variety is left to your imagination. Later, ascend to the crater rim for awesome sunset views.

Day 6 - Ngorongoro – Serengeti
Enjoy awesome sunrise views from the crater rim. Leave the Ngorongoro after and proceed to the Olduvai Gorge. Here, visit various sites of the gorge to see where the remains of pre-historic man were discovered. Later, proceed to the vast Serengeti plains with afternoon game viewing. Dinner and overnight at Seronera camp or similar.

Day 7 - Serengeti Game Reserve
Spend the day at the Serengeti on game viewing drives. Serengeti is large, the variety and concentration of game is mind-boggling. This is encountered as you traverse the reserve on rewarding game viewing drives. Dinner and overnight at Seronera camp or similar.

Day 8 - Serengeti Full Day Game Drive
Today, explore more of this famous wildlife reserve with your safari guide. The Serengeti provides incredible wildlife viewing year-round with the "great migration". Dinner and overnight at Seronera camp or similar.

Day 9 - Serengeti - Arusha
You may have time for a short, early morning game drive en route to Arusha. Transfer to the airport or hotel.
