Day 1: Materuni Waterfalls
Nestled at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro, Materuni Waterfalls is a lush, green haven offering a scenic hike through local Chagga villages and coffee plantations. The towering waterfall, surrounded by rainforest, provides a serene and breathtaking retreat. A visit here often includes a hands-on coffee-making experience with local farmers, adding a cultural layer to the natural beauty.
Day 2: Chemka Hot Springs (Kikuletwa Springs)
An oasis in the middle of the semi-arid landscape, Chemka Hot Springs is a crystal-clear geothermal pool surrounded by fig trees and vibrant vegetation. The warm, turquoise waters are perfect for swimming, relaxing, and soaking in the peaceful atmosphere. It’s an ideal stop for unwinding and refreshing after time on the road.
Day 3: Lake Eyasi
This remote and lesser-visited lake offers an extraordinary cultural experience with Tanzania’s indigenous tribes. Spend time with the Hadzabe, one of the last remaining hunter-gatherer groups in Africa, and the Datoga, skilled blacksmiths and pastoralists.
