Embark on an 8-day trek to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro via the Lemosho Route. Enjoy panoramic views of the mountain and the surrounding landscapes as you trek through the rainforest and across the Shira Plateau.
Begin your adventure with a long drive from Moshi to Londorossi Gate. From there, spend the first 2 days trekking through the rainforest to Shira Ridge. Cross the entire Shira Plateau from west to east in a pleasant, relatively flat hike.
Continue to the Lemosho route, which crosses the entire Shira Plateau from west to east in a pleasant, relatively flat hike. Crowds are low until the route joins the Machame route near Lava Tower. Then, traverse underneath Kilimanjaro's Southern Ice Field on a path known as the Southern Circuit before summiting from Barafu.
Descend via the Mweka route.
