Experience an unforgettable 3-day safari to Mikumi National Park, combining the best of Tanzania’s wildlife, culture, and scenic travel.

Your journey begins in Zanzibar with an early morning ferry to Dar es Salaam, followed by a scenic Standard Gauge Railway (SGR) train ride to Morogoro. From there, a private transfer takes you directly to Mikumi National Park, where you’ll check in at your lodge. In the afternoon, immerse yourself in local culture with a visit to the Masai Bandas, before returning to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

The second day is dedicated to a full-day game drive inside Mikumi, one of Tanzania’s most accessible and wildlife-rich national parks. Discover vast savannahs and acacia woodlands, home to elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffalos, and countless antelopes. With a bit of luck, you may also encounter predators such as lions, leopards, and the elusive African wild dogs. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the heart of the bush before continuing your adventure until late afternoon.

On the final day, wake up early for breakfast and transfer to Mkata Airstrip for your scheduled flight back to Zanzibar, arriving mid-morning. In case the flight is unavailable or missed, your return will follow the scenic route of Day 1 via Morogoro, SGR train to Dar es Salaam, and ferry back to Zanzibar.

This 3-day Mikumi safari offers the perfect balance of adventure, relaxation, and culture, making it an unforgettable wildlife experience.
