On my last trip to northwestern Tunisia, I had the chance to visit the Kasbah of Kef, majestically perched on the heights of the city. From the moment you step inside, you can feel the history that lives in every stone of this Ottoman fortress. The thick walls, watchtowers, and large arched gates testify to the strategic role the Kasbah played in defending the region.

Climb to the top for an incredible panoramic view of the surrounding mountains and the red roofs of Kef. The wind blows strong, bringing a feeling of freedom and peace.
