Rather than summiting Lookout, loop around and descend into the Clear Creek area, joining the paved Clear Creek Trail for a refreshing, downhill ride along the creek — a popular stretch with cyclists, runners, and kayakers.
Turn north and climb again to Norman D. Park, a peaceful high point with mountain views, before descending into Downtown Golden. Pass the Coors Brewery and the Jefferson County Government Center, tying together Golden’s natural beauty and civic landmarks.
Finish back at Apex Park, having covered varied terrain — mountain roads, bike paths, hills, and town streets — all with the ease and thrill of an e-bike.
