On Day 1, begin your journey with a trip to the infamous Alcatraz Island, home to one of the world’s most notorious federal prisons. Board the ferry at Fisherman’s Wharf and enjoy a self-guided audio tour, available in multiple languages.
Explore the eerie, abandoned prison cells, learn about daring escape attempts, and discover Alcatraz’s fascinating history as a military fort, penitentiary, and Native American occupation site. Take your time exploring the island and enjoy stunning panoramic views of the San Francisco skyline and Golden Gate Bridge.
On day 2, it’s time to hit the streets! With a full day of e-bike rental, you’ll have the freedom to create your own sightseeing itinerary and pedal your way through San Francisco’s iconic neighborhoods. Whether you're cruising to the Golden Gate Bridge, taking selfies by Baker Beach, or taking an espresso break in the North Beach, enjoying tacos in the Mission District, the powerful e-bike makes it easy to explore more, faster.
With a self-guided tour, you’re in control—no rush, no limits. You can stop whenever something catches your eye, whether it’s the colorful murals of the Mission District, the tranquil paths of Golden Gate Park, or the historic streets of Chinatown. The e-bike makes San Francisco’s famous hills a breeze, allowing you to cover more ground without breaking a sweat.
Post tour, folks can return back to San Francisco by riding the bike back at your own pace.
Also, you can optionally take a ferry back to the city (Ferry ticket not included), and in high season we offer a Sausalito bike drop for those who wish to leave their bike in Sausalito for an extra fee.

• Due to National Park restrictions, Alcatraz reservations cannot be moved or rescheduled after booking
• Please contact the activity provider if you would like to reschedule your bike tour
• The date you choose for booking is when you will visit Alcatraz. Your bike tour will take place the next day at 10:00 AM. For example, if your desired Alcatraz date is July 1, your bike tour date will be on July 2
• The Cellhouse audio tour is available in Dutch, English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Mandarin, Portuguese, Russian, and Spanish
• The tour follows bike paths and the riding is mostly on flat landscapes
• Credit card deposit may be required at the start of the bike tour
• E-bike upgrade is available for $40
For Alcatraz, redeem your voucher at the Guest Services window at Pier 33 Alcatraz Landing. Guests are free to call the day before the tour for more information at 415-346-2453.
Redeem your voucher at our 2661 Taylor Street Tour Center location for your bike tour. As the bike tour has a 10:00 AM departure, riders are advised to arrive 30 minutes before for proper bike fitting.
IMPORTANT NOTE: All bike tours take place 1 day after to your selected Alcatraz departure. The date and time selected on your confirmation is for your Day 1 Alcatraz Tour. Your bike tour takes place the day after at 10:00 AM. For example, if your chosen Alcatraz date is July 1st, your bike tour date will be July 2nd. If you need to reschedule the bike portion of your tour, please contact the tour operator directly. Alcatraz departure times will be allotted.
