You will learn about the three essential drums of this Afro-Uruguayan expression: chico, repique, and piano, and discover their role in local community life. Our hosts, musicians, and candombe experts will tell you the story of this cultural expression, its origins in Afro-descendant resistance, and its current impact on the identity of Colonia.
