Come Experience the Cultural Capital of Cabo Verde with us! Enjoy the architectural style of our colorful buildings, both old and new, reminiscent of New Orleans with their wide galleries, unique doors, shuttered windows, and ceramic and shingled tiled roofs. Travel along Avenida Marginal to Praia d Bote, Diogo Afonso, Belem Tower, and Fish Market, arrive at African Market, then take a stroll on to Church Square where the first community was established, head on to the Municipal Market where you will find an array of colorful fruits, vegetables, natural teas and handicrafts. Take a stroll along Rua Lisboa (the heartbeat of the city) and its barefoot ‘Walk of Fame’ representing the many famous artists, musicians, poets, and writers of Cabo Verde. Stop at the home of Cesária Évora, our Queen of Morna, and famous ‘Barefoot Diva’.

Most of our travel will be by walking, please wear comfortable clothing, walking shoes, sun protection, and bring a bottle of water. Museum entrance fees can be paid in cash, euros or escudos, no cards.
We will pick you up in front of your accommodation in Mindelo (let us know your location) or you can meet us in front of the Centro Cultural Mindelo
