Day 1: Edinburgh to Oban, Scotland’s Seafood Capital

Your Highland journey begins with a drive through the rolling landscapes of Perthshire and the Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park. Pause at the Falls of Dochart in Killin, a picture perfect spot where cascading waters tumble beneath the village bridge and capture the spirit of rural Scotland.

At the Killin Smokehouse, enjoy a taste of authentic Scottish fare. From locally sourced venison to whisky smoked salmon, this is slow food at its finest, crafted with passion and provenance.

Continuing west, arrive in Oban, known as the seafood capital of Scotland. Tour the historic Oban Distillery, one of Scotland’s oldest and most atmospheric, where the sea air weaves its way into every cask. Later, enjoy fresh local shellfish on the harbourfront or join a lively ceilidh in the evening, a joyful celebration of music and Highland spirit.

Day 2: The Isle of Mull, Whisky, Waterfalls and Colourful Harbours

Board the morning ferry to Mull, sailing across glittering seas toward the island’s rugged coastline. After disembarking, trace Mull’s western coast to the dramatic Eas Fors Waterfall and the serene sands of Calgary Bay.

Arrive in Tobermory, one of Scotland’s most photographed harbours, painted in bright colours that reflect across the water. Enjoy lunch and explore local boutiques before an exclusive Tobermory Distillery Warehouse Tasting.

Founded in 1798, Tobermory is a living testament to craftsmanship and island character. Sample rare cask-strength drams of Tobermory and Ledaig, guided by expert hosts who share stories of the island’s people, peat and passion.

Continue to the Isle of Mull Cheese Farm, where you’ll discover a wonderful selection of local produce and the island’s famous Isle of Mull cheese. A scenic drive via Salen offers a perfect photo stop before settling in at your elegant base for the night.

Day 3: Iona or Staffa, A Day of Discovery and Fine Dining

After breakfast, choose between two unforgettable morning adventures.

Visit Iona, the spiritual heart of Scotland, where St Columba’s Abbey has stood for centuries, a tranquil haven of white beaches and sacred history.

Or visit Staffa, the uninhabited island of hexagonal basalt columns that inspired Mendelssohn’s Hebrides Overture. Puffins, sea spray and awe-inspiring geology make this a truly magical experience.

Return to Mull for a culinary highlight at the Ninth Wave Food Experience. Nestled in a 200-year-old stone bothy on the wild moors, this celebrated restaurant showcases the island’s bounty. Chef Carla Lamont, a MasterChef The Professionals quarter finalist, and her partner John, a local fisherman, create five courses of inventive, foraged and freshly caught dishes paired with wine.
