从台北或台中出发，开启苗栗一日游：探访南庄老街、参观三义木雕博物馆、漫步龙腾桥，并体验铁道自行车之旅。清晨从台北或台中出发，驶向文化底蕴深厚、艺术气息浓郁、风光旖旎的美丽岛。当繁华都市渐行渐远，眼前展开的是一片连绵山丘、葱郁谷地与古村落交织的画卷，历史的脉络与匠心的传承在此生生不息。 首站探访苗栗的怀旧瑰宝——南庄老街（又名桂花巷）。沿着鹅卵石街道漫步，两侧保存完好的木造老屋与红砖铺面商铺，无声诉说着台湾的往昔岁月。品尝客家传统点心：雷茶（捣碎茶叶混合谷物与草药）、麻糬、柿干及手工米糕。 随后探访三义木雕博物馆，见证艺术与传统的交融。三义被誉为台湾"木雕之乡"，馆内珍藏的宗教雕像以惊人细节展现精湛工艺，现代木雕则以创新手法诠释传统意象。 随后体验古山线铁道自行车之旅。沿着这条曾贯穿台湾中部的历史性运输干线骑行，穿梭于隧道与桥梁之间，伴着葱郁山峦前行。路线平缓适合全家共享，当列车从隧道驶出，眼前豁然展开的河谷全景仍足以令人心跳加速。 最后探访龙腾大桥。这座始建于20世纪初的红砖铁路高架桥，历经1935年毁灭性地震与1999年集集地震的双重摧残。如今残存的拱桥在山林间优雅耸立，青苔与藤蔓攀附其上，赋予这座古桥一种令人心醉神迷的幽美。
