Experience Ramadan the local way by celebrating iftar with a local family in Sarajevo. Prepare traditional Bosnian dishes together, break the fast, and enjoy a meal with your hosts.
Experience Ramadan the local way by celebrating iftar, the traditional meal of breaking the fast, at sunset with a Bosnian family. From traditional Bosnian dishes to Ramadan stories, learn about the holy month and its significance.
Prepare the food together, then sit at the table, break the fast traditionally with a date and water, and enjoy Bosnian dishes that are only cooked during this period. While you are sitting at the table, ask questions about Ramadan traditions and what is important for the family during this time.
End the dinner with a traditional dessert and a beautiful view over Sarajevo. From the family house, on the slopes of Trebević Mountain, watch the sunset and the mosques light up for the call to prayer.
