Trade the resort for the open desert and discover Makadi Bay by dune buggy. This guided safari combines wide sandy plains, valleys, dunes, and Red Sea desert views with flexible morning and evening programs. It is designed as a controlled adventure rather than a race, with professional guidance from start to finish.
When your booking includes transportation, begin with hotel pickup and travel to the buggy base. Transfer time is around 25–30 minutes from Makadi Bay or Sahl Hasheesh, 40–45 minutes from Hurghada, and up to one hour from Al Ahyaa, El Gouna, Soma Bay, or Safaga. Private transfers can be arranged for an additional fee.
At the base, receive a safety briefing, learn the buggy controls, and complete a short driving test before departure. Drivers must be at least 16 years old and follow the guide’s instructions throughout the route. Helmets and required safety equipment are provided.
Once ready, follow your guide across the desert, stopping at selected viewpoints for photos and time to enjoy the landscape. Choose the buggy size that suits your party: a single buggy for 1 rider, a double buggy for up to 2 riders, or a family buggy for up to 4 riders.
Single Dune Buggy (1 Rider)
Choose a buggy for one rider and enjoy the guided desert route. Select the 5:00 AM sunrise departure if you want the program with Oriental breakfast.
Double Dune Buggy (Max 2 Riders)
Travel together in one double buggy for up to two riders while following the same guided desert experience. The 5:00 AM sunrise departure includes Oriental breakfast.
Family Dune Buggy (Max 4 Riders)
Share the adventure in a family buggy for up to four riders, with guided driving and scenic desert stops. Breakfast is included only with the 5:00 AM sunrise departure.
Single Dune Buggy (1 Rider) — Dinner, Show & Stargazing
Take the single buggy on the evening desert program, then continue with an Oriental dinner, live cultural show, and stargazing under the open sky.
Double Dune Buggy (Max 2 Riders) — Dinner, Show & Stargazing
Choose a double buggy for up to two riders and combine the sunset desert adventure with dinner, entertainment, and stargazing.
Family Dune Buggy (Max 4 Riders) — Dinner, Show & Stargazing
Enjoy the evening program in a family buggy for up to four riders, followed by Oriental dinner, a live show, and stargazing.
After the selected program, return to the base and take your hotel transfer when included. Camel riding is not part of this buggy tour.
