Your first major stop is Eisriesenwelt, the world's largest ice-cave system. Reaching the entrance is part of the experience: use the mountain shuttle, ride the cable car, follow the uphill path, and join the official cave tour led by Eisriesenwelt staff. The Eisriesenwelt admission, shuttle, and cable-car ticket are included. Allow around three hours for the complete cave visit while your private guide waits nearby.

Continue to Hohenwerfen Castle, dramatically set above the Salzach Valley. Enjoy approximately 45 minutes for an independent castle visit, with admission included whenever the castle is open. If castle entry is unavailable because the attraction is closed, travelers will receive a full refund for the affected booking. They may choose the castle viewpoint stop and additional scenic time only as an optional alternative.

Complete the trip with a walk through the Lammerklamm gorge near Scheffau, about one hour with your ticket included. Since 1884, visitors have followed wooden walkways and stairs through this narrow canyon, where the Lammer river thunders over the rocks and fine waterfall mist fills the cool, fresh air. You pass waterfalls and polished rock walls, step into the Dark Gorge where the cliffs close in to about one metre, and cross a bridge high above the water. It is a wonderfully refreshing place to slow down and breathe deeply. The gorge is open from April to 26 October 2026 and again from April 2027. Then return to your Salzburg accommodation. Your guide speaks English or German, coordinates the route and timing, and takes you to each location.

This active excursion includes uphill walking, mountain paths, a cable-car journey, and about 700 steps inside the cave. The cave is around 0°C, so warm layers, sturdy closed shoes, and good mobility are essential.
