Meet at the East Gate of the Summer Palace (For private tours, meet at the lobby of your hotel in downtown Beijing). Then begin your journey through the Summer Palace, a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for its stunning gardens, pavilions, and the vast Kunming Lake. (If you wish to start at a different time for the private tour, please inform us, and we will do our best to arrange it).

During your tour, your guide will provide you with an overview of this imperial retreat, originally constructed in the 18th century. It served as the summer residence for Qing Dynasty emperors. Upon arrival at the Summer Palace, follow your guide through the East Gate, and visit some of the key landmarks, including the Long Corridor, the Marble Boat, and the Hall of Benevolence and Longevity.
You will then have the opportunity to stroll along the shores of Kunming Lake, enjoy the peaceful environment, and marvel at the intricate designs of the pavilions and bridges. Your guide will explain the historical significance of the Summer Palace as a symbol of the emperor's power and the beauty of Chinese landscape architecture.
The tour will conclude at the North Gate of the Summer Palace. Afterward, you may choose to continue exploring the palace grounds independently or return to your hotel by subway or private car.
