This tour offers an unforgettable journey through history, culture, and local life, perfect for first-time visitors and returning travelers alike.
Begin your adventure in Bukchon Hanok Village, a beautiful neighborhood nestled between two major palaces. Here, you’ll wander through narrow alleys lined with traditional Korean houses called hanok. The village offers picturesque views of tiled rooftops, peaceful streets, and the modern skyline in the distance. It’s a fantastic spot for taking photos and experiencing Korea’s timeless beauty.
Next, witness the spectacular Royal Guard Changing Ceremony at Gyeongbokgung Palace. This vibrant performance reenacts the royal guard-changing rituals from the Joseon Dynasty, complete with colorful traditional uniforms, ceremonial instruments, and impressive precision. It’s a lively and memorable cultural event that transports you back to Korea’s royal era.
Continue your journey with a visit to Gyeongbokgung Palace, the largest and most iconic of Seoul’s five grand palaces. Originally built in 1395, the palace is a symbol of Korea’s rich history and architectural elegance. Explore its magnificent gates, tranquil courtyards, and serene lotus ponds.
After your palace visit, drive past Cheongwadae, also known as the Blue House, which served as the former presidential residence and executive office of South Korea. (Pass by)
Ginseng Center, you’ll enjoy a cup of traditional Korean herbal tea while learning about the health benefits, history, and cultural importance of Korean ginseng. The center offers informative exhibits about ginseng’s role in Korean wellness traditions. Visitors are welcome to browse or purchase ginseng products if they wish, but there is absolutely no obligation to buy.
End your tour with a visit to Gwangjang Market, one of Seoul’s oldest and most beloved traditional markets. The market is famous for its lively atmosphere and mouthwatering street foods. Try local favorites such as bindaetteok, mayak gimbap, and tteokbokki.
