The tour duration is approximately 3 hours, including driving, hiking, and cave exploration time.
The appearance of the ice cave may vary from the images shown due to natural changes.
Participants should be prepared for a moderate amount of physical activity.
This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.
For all departures, no cancellations or changes can be made within 24 hours from departure. In the event of bad weather, if the road to Jökulsárlón is open and our tours are departing as normal, we are not obligated to reschedule or refund if you are not able to make your way to Jökulsárlón. You can claim from your travel insurance in those cases.
Please do not come in high heels, you will not be allowed to join the tour. Please do not come in moon boots, if we cannot put the crampons under your shoes, you will not be allowed on the glacier.
Meeting point for the tour is the parking lot at the Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon where all the super jeeps are parked. Please check-in 20 minutes before departure near the WC at the sign "Ice Cave Tour Meeting Point". Please look for our staff wearing black jacket with Marina Travel logo or staff wearing yellow jacket with the words "Crystal Cave Tour". If you don't find the people, please contact us. Ice caves are natural phenomenons and ever changing. Please dress warm for this tour. Windproof and waterproof outer clothes are recommended. Hiking/trekking shoes are required for this tour. Helmets and crampons will be provided. Please do not come in high heels, you will not be allowed to join the tour.
