Begin your adventure with a convenient pickup from your accommodation in Quito or Quito's airport. Stop for acclimatization with coca tea, buy Andean snacks or extra drinks, or have breakfast (if you didn't have it).

Visit the volcanic valley and Limpiopungo Lagoon in Cotopaxi National Park at 3800 meters above sea level (12,467 ft). Arrive at the volcanic valley where there are more possibilities to appreciate the Cotopaxi volcano, the second highest of Ecuador.

After this first visit, leave this national park that is located in the eastern mountain range, take the Panamericana Highway again to the south to connect to Pujili area and the Western Mountain Range where Quilotoa Lagoon is, part of Los Ilinizas Ecological Reserve.

Cross some Andean communities during the day. Finally, arrive at Quilotoa Community 3850 meters above sea level, (12,631 ft). where you can find some scenic viewpoints, a colorful craft market and stores, restaurants, and cafes.
