Quito: Paragliding Flight from the Teleférico with 360 Video

Experience one of the most spectacular paragliding flights in Ecuador, taking off from the high mountain area near the Teleférico in Quito and flying above the city with incredible views of the Andes.

Your adventure begins early in the morning at Cruz del Papa in Parque La Carolina, where you will meet the Mauna Expeditions team. From there, we will take you by private transport toward the takeoff area at approximately 4,100 meters above sea level. During the drive, you will leave the city behind and start gaining altitude as the views of Quito, the surrounding valleys, and the volcanoes become more impressive.

Before the flight, your certified bilingual pilot will give you a safety briefing and explain everything you need to know for takeoff, flight, and landing. No previous experience is required. You will fly in tandem with an experienced pilot who controls the paraglider, so you can focus on enjoying the views and the sensation of flying.

Once conditions are safe, you will take off from the mountain and glide over Quito with a vertical drop of around 1,300 meters. The flight usually lasts between 15 and 20 minutes, depending on wind and weather conditions. From the air, you will enjoy a unique perspective of the city, the Andes mountains, and the dramatic landscape surrounding Ecuador’s capital.
