Bilbao Mysteries and Legends Sightseeing Tour

At the designated start time, we will meet in front of the Teatro Arriaga to begin this sightseeing tour of the legends and mysteries of Bilbao. There, we'll learn the story of a brutal crime that remains unsolved and discover which ghostly presences seem to still haunt this iconic building. A few steps away, we will stop in front of the Cathedral of Santiago, whose façade hides curious details related to Basque mythology.

Our next stop will be the Portal de Zamudio, an old crossroads closely linked to the stories of Bilbao's witches. In front of it stands the Santos Juanes Church, where the "Miraculous Virgin" is kept. According to tradition, her intervention protected the inhabitants of Bilbao from epidemics and other terrible misfortunes.

The tour will continue next to the Church of San Antón and the Mercado de la Ribera. In this setting, we'll reveal the surprising story of the famous "Miracle of Atxuri". Then we'll head to Plaza de la Encarnación, the scene of a disturbing episode that will show us the darkest, cruelest, and most disturbing side of human nature.
