Step aboard the Núria, l'Estartit's oldest traditional fishing boat, built on the beach of l'Estartit in 1942. Owned and operated by a local fishing family, the Núria offers a unique, authentic and personal way to discover the Medes Islands and the Costa Brava.

With a maximum of just 20 passengers, you'll enjoy a small-group experience far from the crowds. Our friendly captain and guide will share stories, local knowledge and fascinating insights about the Medes Islands, the Costa Brava and the marine life that inhabits this protected environment. We encourage guests to ask questions and take part in the conversation, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere on board.

As we cruise along the coastline, you'll discover hidden corners of the Costa Brava that can only be reached by sea. Admire dramatic cliffs, crystal-clear waters, secluded coves and sea caves carved by nature over thousands of years.

Thanks to the Núria's small size, we'll navigate very close to the coastline and the caves. When sea and weather conditions allow, we'll enter one of the caves and pass through the iconic La Foradada rock arch, one of the most memorable and photographed natural landmarks on the Costa Brava.

You'll also have the opportunity to discover the seabed of the Medes Islands Marine Reserve through the boat's glass-bottom viewing windows.

From June to September, weather conditions permitting, we'll make a swimming stop in crystal-clear waters, giving you the chance to fully immerse yourself in this extraordinary natural setting.

Whether you're looking for breathtaking landscapes, authentic local experiences, marine wildlife or simply a special day at sea, the Núria offers a unique and authentic way to explore the Medes Islands and the Costa Brava.

Port de l'Estartit The boat is at the beginning of the harbour. You must follow "Passeig Marítim", at the end, you will see a small playground and some information kiosk. Turn to the right after the last kiosk and you will be at the harbour, you will see some fishing boats and we are after these boats. You will see a white board with "BARCA NURIA" wrote in red.
