描述
Visit a reindeer farm, meet and feed the reindeer, take memorable photos, and enjoy hot drinks and cookies. When snow allows, experience a 500m reindeer sleigh ride.
Step into the world of Lapland’s reindeer on a small-group visit to an authentic reindeer farm near Rovaniemi. Meet these iconic Arctic animals up close, feed them, take memorable photos, and discover the traditions and everyday life behind reindeer herding in Finnish Lapland.
Your experience begins with pickup from your accommodation or an agreed pickup point in the Rovaniemi area. Travel with your guide away from the city to the reindeer farm, where you’ll be welcomed into a peaceful Arctic setting and introduced to the reindeer and the people who care for them.
During the guided farm visit, get close to the reindeer, feed them and enjoy plenty of opportunities to interact with them and take photos. Learn fascinating facts about their life throughout the changing Arctic seasons, their care, and the long tradition of reindeer herding in Lapland.
Take your time and enjoy the atmosphere of the farm while warming up with hot berry juice and cookies. With only short walks and a relaxed pace, this is an easy and family-friendly way to experience one of Lapland’s most characteristic traditions.
When snow and weather conditions allow, the experience becomes even more magical with an approximately 500-meter reindeer sleigh ride through the snowy surroundings. After the ride, you can also receive a symbolic reindeer driving license as a fun souvenir of your Lapland adventure. The sleigh ride is seasonal and depends on sufficient snow and safe operating conditions.
To help you enjoy the Arctic outdoors comfortably, thermal overalls and winter boots are provided during the activity. Your Lapland Fox Tours guide will also capture digital photos throughout the experience, giving you memorable images to take home while you simply enjoy your time with the reindeer.
After the farm visit, relax on the return journey to Rovaniemi, with drop-off at your original pickup point.
Meet, feed and photograph Lapland’s reindeer, learn about their fascinating Arctic life, and experience a genuine piece of northern culture in a relaxed small-group setting.
