Unlock French wine one glass at a time in the heart of Bayeux. This relaxed two-hour experience is designed for curious international travellers who want to understand French wine without the formality of a classroom.
When Paul moved from England to France, French labels, regions and appellations felt difficult to decode. That curiosity led him through wine qualifications and work as a wine merchant in Paris. The Wine Tasting Room is the welcoming experience he wishes had existed when he first arrived.
Paul will guide you through six carefully selected wines from classic French appellations and top producers, each paired with a French cheese chosen to reveal a region, style or story.
You will learn a simple way to look at, smell and taste wine, discover how grape varieties, climate and tradition shape what is in your glass, and hear the stories behind the regions and producers.
This is an interactive experience, not a formal lecture. Ask questions, compare impressions in a small group of no more than 12 guests. Whether you are completely new to wine or already enjoy exploring it, you will leave with a clearer understanding of French wine and more confidence choosing your next bottle.
The focus is simply on tasting, learning and enjoying the experience together. Take or ship your favourite bottles home.
