Begin your journey in Kutaisi and head east toward Georgia's capital. After a short coffee stop along the way, arrive in the historic town of Mtskheta, the ancient capital of Georgia and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Visit Svetitskhoveli Cathedral, believed to house Christ's robe, making it one of Georgia's most sacred landmarks and a place of deep national significance.

Your next stop is the monumental Chronicles of Georgia, often called the "Stonehenge of Georgia." These towering stone pillars portray Georgian kings, heroes, and defining moments in the country's history while offering spectacular views over the Tbilisi Sea.

Before exploring the Old Town, you'll have free time for an optional lunch at a traditional Georgian restaurant, where you can sample local dishes (not included).

Join a guided walking tour through the atmospheric streets of Old Tbilisi, venturing beyond the main tourist routes. Wander charming cobblestone streets, discover hidden courtyards tucked behind traditional houses, and admire beautifully carved wooden balconies that give the city its unique character.

The walk continues through the lively Meidan Bazaar, where you can browse local specialties including churchkhela, honey, tea, spices, and homemade jams. Explore the historic Abanotubani sulfur bath district, hear the legend behind the founding of Tbilisi, discover the picturesque Leghvtakhevi Waterfall hidden in the heart of the Old Town, and admire landmarks including the Bridge of Peace and the famous clock tower of Gabriadze Theater.

Ride the scenic Rike cable car for panoramic views over the city before reaching the iconic Mother of Georgia. Along the way, your guide will reveal the symbolism behind the monument and what it tells us about Georgian culture, hospitality, and resilience.

After a full day discovering Georgia's ancient heritage, remarkable history, and vibrant capital, relax on the return journey to Kutaisi. Guests selecting the transfer option may also finish their tour with drop-off in Tbilisi.
