Embark on a journey from Yogyakarta to East Java. Witness the splendor of Prambanan Temple, the breathtaking sunrise over Mt Bromo and cap off your journey with the legendary blue fire of Ijen Crater.
DAY 1:
Your journey will begin with a pick-up from your hotel or a designated meeting point in Yogyakarta. Our first destination is Prambanan Temple, Indonesia's largest Hindu temple complex and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You'll explore the magnificent ancient architecture, admire the reliefs telling the story of the Ramayana, and experience the powerful spiritual aura emanating from every corner. Explore the Shiva, Vishnu, and Brahma temples, with ample time to take photos and absorb their history. After exploring Prambanan, we'll continue our long journey to the Mount Bromo area. This journey will take approximately 7-8 hours, traversing beautiful Javanese countryside. You'll check into your accommodation near Bromo in the evening, giving you time to rest and prepare for the next day's dawn adventure.

Day 2:
Early in the morning, before sunrise, you'll be picked up by a 4x4 jeep, ready to take you through the darkness to Penanjakan or another prime vantage point for the Bromo sunrise. From here, witness an unforgettable panorama as hues of orange, red, and purple paint the sky, gradually revealing the stunning caldera landscape, with Mount Bromo, Mount Batok, and Mount Semeru towering in the distance. After the magical sunrise, the jeep will take you across the expansive Whispering Sands to the foot of Mount Bromo. You'll then have the option to walk or hire a horse (additional charge) to climb the approximately 250 steps to Mount Bromo's active crater. Feel the earth tremble beneath your feet as you peer into the smoking crater—a truly thrilling experience! Afterward, we'll return to your accommodation for breakfast and check-out. The journey then continues to Bondowoso (about 3-4 hours away), along winding roads offering views of coffee plantations and the beautiful countryside. You will check-in to a hotel in Bondowoso town to rest before the midnight climb.

DAY 3:
Your final adventure will begin again in the middle of the night with a hike to the Ijen Crater. It's a unique and challenging experience, but well worth it! Led by a local guide, you'll hike for approximately 1.5 to 2 hours to reach the crater rim. There, if you're lucky and conditions permit, you'll witness the rare and mesmerizing "blue fire" phenomenon, where burning sulfur gas creates a neon blue flame in the predawn darkness. Afterward, you'll witness a beautiful sunrise over the stunning turquoise acid crater lake, surrounded by the sight of sulfur miners hard at work. It's a contrasting yet powerful sight. After enjoying the beauty of Ijen, continue your journey to Ketapang Harbor (for the ferry to Bali).
