Sunrise departure is optional and requires an early hotel pickup (around 03:00–04:00 depending on location).
Please wear comfortable clothing and walking shoes, as some locations require light walking and stairs.
When visiting Lempuyang Temple, modest dress is required (shoulders and knees covered). A sarong is usually available at the temple.
Women who are menstruating are not permitted to enter temple areas, according to Balinese Hindu customs.
Weather in the mountains can be cooler in the early morning—bringing a light jacket is recommended.
