Let's catch some waves! Learn to surf in Los Angeles with a professional instructor. Enjoy a fun and safe surfing lesson with a professional instructor at Santa Monica or Manhattan Beach.
Learn to surf in the Pacific Ocean with a private lesson in Santa Monica or Manhattan Beach. Choose a time that suits you and get ready to ride some waves!
Students meet their personal surf instructors at the beach and get fitted with a wetsuit and surfboard. Students should bring a towel, sunscreen, and regular swimsuit to wear beneath the provided full-body wetsuit which will provide maximum comfort while surfing. From there, learn the basics of surfing on the sand before heading into the water for an epic surf experience.
Your surf instructor will cover how to safely approach the ocean, paddle, "pop-up" on the surfboard, balance and enjoy riding waves all the way to the sandy shore. After each wave, students get tips and feedback from their instructor to improve and get the most out of every wave.
To finish the session, be sure to ask your instructor how to "throw a shaka" and spread the stoke!

We teach at Santa Monica Beach, Manhattan Beach, and Redondo Beach
Meet your instructor at the Aqua Surf Vehicle in the El Porto Beach parking lot. You'll know you're in the spot when you see Lifeguard Tower 45 on the sand (blue with 45 painted on it.) Your instructor will be near the beginning of the lot just next to the boardwalk.

- Private Surfing instruction with dedicated instructor. Students are never mixed with other students to ensure a fully private, safe and personal surfing experience.
- All necessary surfing equipment is included:
- Surfboards (sizes 6ft-9ft)
- Wetsuits (Full Suits in all sizes, thicker wetsuits for non-summer months)
- Surfboard Leash
- Private lessons can be booked for groups of 1-6 with a minimum student to instructor ratio or 3:1.

- Students are responsible for transportation to and from the beach as well as beach parking if parking a vehicle at the beach lot. Students should bring their own towels and swimsuits (for beneath the wetsuit.) Instructor gratuity is optional and not included. Gratuity (tip) is always appreciated by surf instructors if you have a great surfing experience.
