Sumo wrestling is the national sport of Japan. The tournaments are held only 90 days of the year, so this is a rare opportunity to see the “real thing.”

Of the 44 sumo stables operating in Japan, only a select few allow guests to observe the morning practice sessions. Watch the sumo strongmen practice at a stable that is only 14 minutes away from Otemachi/Tokyo station.

After the practice, listen to a short presentation from a local guide. Learn about the basics of sumo wrestling to take back home, not just the photogenic sights of the practice.
