Togakushi Shrine
Togakushi is a sacred and spiritual place nestled in the Togakushi Mountains, which are rich in natural beauty and a thousand years of history and culture.
As you walk through the forest of giant cedar trees over 400 years old, you can witness the magical play of sunlight filtering through the canopy—a breathtaking sight. The vibrant red Sui-jinmon Gate stands out prominently along the approach path to the inner shrine, surrounded by lush greenery.
Note: The inner shrine is closed in winter; the tour will only go as far as the Sui-jinmon Gate.

Iiyama Snow Huts (Winter Only)
In winter, Iiyama is blanketed in snow, with round snow huts standing quietly like cottages from a fairy tale. Step inside the snow huts for photos, surrounded by white snow—it’s like a dream! During the day, you can enjoy a variety of snow activities: building snowmen, sledding, riding banana boats on snow, and even snowmobiling—thrilling and fun for everyone. Jigokudani Yaen Koen (Snow Monkey Park)
Famous worldwide for its snow monkeys, Jigokudani in Japan is home to the only hot spring pool dedicated to monkeys in the world. The monkeys often have snow on their heads, earning them the affectionate nickname "snow monkeys". The iconic image of "snow monkeys soaking in hot springs" has become the most representative winter scene in Nagano, attracting hundreds of thousands of tourists every year.
