Begin your adventure by meeting your Bedouin guide at the Wadi Rum Rest House. Set off in a small group, sharing the experience with a handful of other travelers in a warm, friendly atmosphere.

On day one, head straight for the deep south. Your first stop is the Noghra Canyon, where the desert opens up to a sweeping view across the border into Saudi Arabia, a horizon most travelers never get to see. From there, set off on foot into a hidden canyon, walking between towering sandstone walls, before stopping for a relaxed lunch in the shade.

In the afternoon, climb to a high desert viewpoint looking north across the whole of Wadi Rum, the mountains and valleys spread out beneath you in shades of red and gold. As the day cools, enjoy one of the desert's oldest traditions: a full hour on camelback, swaying slowly across the sand the way the Bedouin have traveled for centuries.

Then comes the part you will remember most. As the sun sets, arrive at the desert camp, where real beds are laid out under the open sky. After dinner around the fire, the stars appear in their thousands. With no city lights for miles, Wadi Rum offers some of the clearest night skies on Earth, and you fall asleep with the Milky Way stretched right above you. This is a relaxed, natural stargazing experience: your Bedouin guide will happily point out the stars, but there is no telescope or professional astronomer, just you and a truly wild sky.

On day two, wake to the soft morning light and set out on foot through the beautiful Umm Hrine Canyon, one of the desert's most striking walks. After a morning of exploring, stop for lunch, then continue to some of Wadi Rum's most famous sights: the Khazali Canyon with its ancient rock carvings, the great red sand dunes, and Lawrence's Spring, hidden among the rocks. In the afternoon, return to Wadi Rum, tired, happy, and full of memories.
