Day 1: Nairobi or Mombasa – Tsavo East

Begin with an early morning pickup from your hotel or preferred location and drive to Tsavo East National Park. Enter the park and enjoy a game drive as you travel towards your lodge, looking for red elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, and other wildlife.

Arrive at the lodge for lunch and check in. In the afternoon, head out for another game drive across the park's open plains before returning for dinner and overnight accommodation.

Day 2: Full-Day Game Drive in Tsavo East

After an early breakfast, depart for a morning game drive to explore more of Tsavo East. Search for elephants, lions, cheetahs, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, and antelopes while enjoying the park's expansive landscapes.

Enjoy a picnic lunch in a designated area before continuing your afternoon wildlife exploration. Your guide will choose routes based on wildlife activity and prevailing conditions. Return to your lodge in the evening for dinner and relaxation.

Day 3: Tsavo East – Tsavo West National Park

After breakfast, check out and enjoy a morning game drive as you leave Tsavo East. Proceed to Tsavo West National Park, known for its rugged hills, volcanic scenery, and diverse wildlife habitats.

Visit Mzima Springs, a beautiful natural spring where you may see hippos, fish, and crocodiles. Explore the surrounding area and, where accessible, the underwater viewing chamber. Depending on the route and schedule, you may also see the Shetani Lava Flow.

Continue with a game drive before checking in at your lodge for dinner and overnight accommodation.

Day 4: Tsavo West – Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary – Salt Lick Safari Lodge

Enjoy breakfast before departing for the Taita Hills area. Travel towards the wildlife sanctuary and Salt Lick Safari Lodge, enjoying wildlife viewing along the way where park access and routing permit.

Arrive at the lodge for lunch and check in. The lodge is famous for its elevated architecture, interconnected walkways, and spectacular views overlooking a waterhole frequented by wildlife.

In the afternoon, enjoy a game drive in Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary, with opportunities to spot elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, and antelopes. Return to Salt Lick for dinner and an unforgettable evening watching wildlife from the lodge's viewing areas.

Day 5: Morning Game Drive – Departure

Wake up early for a final game drive in Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary, when wildlife may be active in the cooler morning hours. Look out for elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, antelopes, and other animals before returning to the lodge for breakfast.

After breakfast, check out and begin your return journey to your agreed drop-off location in Nairobi or Mombasa. Depending on the destination, traffic, and road conditions, you may arrive in the afternoon or evening.
