Escape Bogotá and ride through history, legends, and breathtaking Andean landscapes on this full-day motorcycle adventure. We’ll take you through scenic mountain roads, colonial towns, sacred indigenous sites, and into the mythical world of El Dorado.
We head north toward the historic town of Zipaquirá, where we explore its beautiful colonial plaza, colorful streets, traditional architecture, and local atmosphere before continuing deeper into the Andean countryside.
From there, we ride to the historic salt mining region of Nemocón, home to one of Colombia’s oldest underground salt mines. Deep beneath the mountains, you’ll explore impressive tunnels, salt formations, mirrors of brine, and fascinating underground chambers carved by miners over centuries of history.
After leaving the mine, we continued riding through scenic mountain roads surrounding the Guatavita Lake region, enjoying panoramic views of the Andean landscapes and the sacred lands connected to the El Dorado legend.
We stop for a traditional Colombian lunch in the town of Sesquilé before continuing toward the Guatavita area. From there, we leave the pavement behind for a short but exciting off-road section leading us closer to the region’s indigenous history and mountain scenery.
Along the way, we visit the Muisca Archaeological Museum to learn about the indigenous culture, traditions, and rituals that inspired one of South America’s most famous myths.
We then explore the colorful colonial village of Guatavita, enjoy panoramic mountain views, and visit a unique artisanal chocolate shop inspired by Muisca traditions, where handcrafted chocolate jewelry and local creations are made.
This experience blends culture, history, nature, and light adventure — perfect for riders looking for more than just a regular motorcycle tour.
